Minutes From Mar 02 15 ArrowCreek Art Guild Meeting

We will know if ArTown has accepted our event by the end of March. All in attendance agreed that even if we didn’t get published or accepted, we would hold the event anyway.

Because of the deadline to apply, many decided not to participate in Open Studio this year. Participating artists are required to pay $150. fee and donate a piece of art. Emma M. and Sue L are holding open studios at their homes but with ACAG member Tricia Leonard and other artists that are not ArrowCreek Art Guild members. Thanks Emma for doing all the ground work and getting a variance from the AC HOA.

Emma attended an Arts Forum meeting last month. The purpose was to gather and brainstorm about the Reno Arts Scene. Another meeting is planned for March 12, Thursday, 5-7 pm at the Generator in Sparks. (This date has been changed! See next note!)

Susan Duncan is the webmaster of AC411. She has included a site for ArrowCreek Art Guild and will link your website to our page. Please contact Susan at arrowcreek411@gmail.com with your information and/or digital photos. Go to arrowcreekart.wordpress.com to see the site. Thank you Susan!

To do list:

1. Please drop off those golf balls to me at 1203 Kachina Ct. If Im not home just put them on the front porch. I need to get them prepared to give out to those of you that want to paint them for our “Arts on the Green” event.

2. It has been suggested that we write our own artist’s statement for an ArrowCreek Artists binder to display at our shows. More about that next meeting.

Sharon DeSimoni gave us a very informative studio tour and exhibit of her beautiful finished works and those still in the process. Thanks for hosting Sharon.

Next month meeting is April 6th, 6:30 pm at Tricia Leonard’s home.
